Silmabarasan donates Rs 6 lakh for Andhra and Telangana floods

Silambarasan, popularly known as STR, is a well-known actor in the South Indian film industry with a significant fan following. He is recognized not just for his acting talent but also for his support of films and stars across different languages and regions. Recently, Silambarasan demonstrated his compassionate nature by extending help to the people affected by the floods in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. According to Dinakaran, the actor donated Rs 6 lakh to the Andhra and Telangana Chief Minister's Relief Fund, making him the first Tamil actor to support the flood-affected communities in these Telugu states. His generous gesture has been widely appreciated by fans and the public alike.

The floods in several parts of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh have started to recede after a spell of intense rainfall last week, which affected over 4 lakh people in Andhra Pradesh alone. The disaster saw support from several Telugu cinema stars, including Chiranjeevi, Ram Charan, Jr. NTR, and Prabhas, who contributed to the government's efforts to aid the affected communities.

On the professional front, Silambarasan is busy with multiple projects. He is currently filming for 'Thug Life' and is playing a supporting role in Mani Ratnam's upcoming directorial, which features Kamal Haasan in the lead. Additionally, Silambarasan is preparing to begin work on 'STR 48' with director Desingh Periyasamy, a project that has faced delays and been on hold for over a year. His commitment to both his craft and humanitarian efforts continues to earn him admiration across the film industry.
