She clapped back, stating, “You working in Indian films was also ‘shameful’ for us.” Her reply garnered massive support across social media, where fans and fellow Indians lauded her courage. In a follow-up statement, Rupali clarified that unfollowing her won’t bring any change to their own country, sending out a strong message about where her loyalty lies.
As international support for India pours in from various nations condemning terrorism, a few countries like Turkey have taken a controversial stance by siding with the other end. In response, Rupali used her platform to raise her voice. She shared an
Instagram story urging Indians to stop visiting Turkey.
“Can we please cancel our bookings for Turkey? This is my request to all Indian celebs/influencers and travellers. This is the least we can do as Indians.
#BoycottTurkey,” she wrote.
Earlier, Rupali had even reacted to people unfollowing her, she wrote, "Unfollowing me won't bring any betterment to your country. First, ask your government and army to stop terrorism against India, this will be the only way for the betterment of Pakistan. Your following or unfollowing may make a difference to an artist but not to an Indian. And I'm an Indian First. A Proud INDIAN. Jai Hind Jai Bharat."
