How to play The Thing in Marvel Rivals

The Thing’s passive ability, Unyielding Will, is a direct counter to the most powerful anti-vanguard ability in game, Wolverine’s Feral Leap. He cannot be displaced whatsoever, and as such he should hold down the front lines strong. Dealing significant AoE damage with all his abilities, he should be targeting grouped up enemies and preventing any escape with his slams.
The Thing's charge is one of the strongest dive abilities in the game, as he is immune to stuns and displacements. While he should be looking for opportunities to disrupt the enemy backlines, he should do so with his team and support from his healers as he can be taken down easily when separated from his team. One useful combo is to SHIFT charge into the enemy backlines, and follow up with his ult granting CC abilities.

What are the best teams for The Thing in Marvel Rivals?

The Thing’s playstyle is very aggressive and as such he excels with duelists who plays aggressive in the same space as him. Melee duelists pair well with him as he can leap on them and reposition while also granting them damage negation.
The Thing is extremely vulnerable to mobile heroes who can fly as he himself has no vertical mobility. As such, having heroes who can take down these flying mobile heroes is crucial for his team. Having said that, here are some heroes that synergise very well with The Thing in Marvel Rivals.
