Jim Harbaugh’s unusual new rules

Joey Bosa informed Alex Insdorf of Bolt Breakdowns that Harbaugh has instructed Herbert to cease giving teammates high fives upon returning from the field to safeguard his hands. Harbaugh's unusual request for Herbert to keep him on the field demonstrates his willingness to go to prevent injuries. Although the likelihood of Herbert hurting his hand while high-fiving his teammates is slim, Harbaugh is not willing to risk such risks.

Herbert sustained a broken index finger, limiting his performance for the final four games of the 2023 regular season. Despite recovery, quarterback Aaron Harbaugh is using a bubble wrap-like technique with his hands. Harbaugh leads the Chargers to a 2–0 start in his first season as head coach, with Herbert completing 67.4% of his passes, completing three touchdowns, and catching one interception in two games.
Harbaugh, known for his humorous and strange language, addressed the media in preparation for the team's Week 3 game against the Pittsburgh Steelers, using a unique and humorous approach. “Like Moses, I’m gonna die leaning on my staff,” he said.

The Chargers have hired quarterback Kyle Harbaugh, who has assembled a great staff of coaches, including offensive coordinator Greg Roman, defensive coordinator Jesse Minter, former players Navarro Bowman, Nick Hardwick, Jonathan Goodwin, Will Tukuafu, and special teams coordinator Ryan Ficken. While not everyone will appreciate Harbaugh's philosophy, fans in Ann Arbor are missing the man who led them to a national championship last season.
