NEW DELHI: In a press briefing held on Sunday evening, Director General of Military Operations (DGMO) Lieutenant General Rajiv Ghai confirmed that five Indian soldiers were killed during Operation Sindoor.“We lost 5 soldiers in Operation Sindoor,” the general said, providing an official toll from the precision strikes India carried out across the border.He also revealed that multiple Indian airfields and ammunition dumps were targeted in repeated aerial waves, but all attempted strikes were successfully repelled.On the impact across the Line of Control, Ghai added that the Pakistan army had suffered significant casualties.
According to reports, the Pakistan army is said to have lost around 35 to 40 personnel in artillery and small arms firing on the Line of Control between May 7 and 10.Furthermore, Indian Air Force downed "many Pakistani jets," said air marshal AK Bharti, adding that he would not go into the numbers.
